Cycling Sunglasses Built for Sweat, Wind and Speed

Cycling Sunglasses Built for Sweat, Wind and Speed

When you're on your 60th KM and taking a turn at full speed, the last thing you want to think about is adjusting your glasses. When all elements combine, a great pair disappears into the road, leaving the path ahead, the sound of two wheels, and clear vision behind.

What Makes a Good Pair of Cycling Sunglasses?

A great pair of cycling glasses allows you to enter a flow state even in the most unforgiving sun, glare, wind, and sweat. They should stay firm on face or helmet in heavy sweat, they should hold a large coverage against wind, they should help you see clearly when the road, light and weather changes unexpectedly.

Helmet Compatibility Matters

Cycling glasses need to equally stay put on your face as on your helmet, among sprints, hard turns, rain, and sweat. If the temples are too bulky or badly shaped, they can press against the side of your head, interfere with helmet straps, or become uncomfortable during long rides.

STRYVE II is built with adjustable temples designed to fit with cycling helmets. The temples sit securely, while silicone grip helps keep the frame in place through sweat, fast movement, and long efforts.

KOVO is built with rigid, ultralight, thin arms that stay light, all the way to the last leg of a triathlon.

For riders with lower or wider nose bridges, the adjustable nose that comes with all of our performance frames clicks into place for a precise fit, and comes with sweat-resistant silicone grips.

Vision is Performance: Which Lens is Best for Cycling?

Clear vision is best when it's not noticed; at its worst, it's a constant friction in-between an athlete and their goal. At speed, your brain needs crystal-clear vision to make micro decisions between potholes, load management, turns, and traffic.

High-contrast lenses are made to improve definition at speed by filtering out specific wavelengths in visible light that muddy the difference between objects. They help bring out detail in the road, trail, and surrounding terrain, making them a strong choice for riders who want a fixed tint with more visual clarity.

Photochromic lenses adapt from clear to dark depending on UV exposure. That makes them especially useful for rides that start early, pass through forest, move between shade and open roads, or continue into full sun.

Can't decide? Both KOVO and STRYVE II come with our signature interchangeable lens systems that ensure the absolute best tech for the effort at hand.

Fog, Rain and Drop Control.

For cycling sunglasses, your body generates an enormous amount of heat, and that heat presses against the cold wind, creating condensation. Ventilation is not optional.

STRYVE II and KOVO use vented lenses to help heat escape and reduce fog buildup during sustained efforts. Hydrophobic, oleophobic and anti-fog coatings help shed rain, sweat, and grime so the lens stays clearer when conditions get messy.

The same tech that gives our lenses the ability to be swapped out without worry of snapping or scratching is the same tech that makes it incredibly resistant against drops, tumbles and scrapes.

TR-90, the gold standard.

A few grams might not sound like much until you are three hours into a ride.

Heavy frames can create pressure points on the nose, behind the ears, or under the helmet. A lighter frame is easier to forget once you are moving.

STRYVE II uses a lightweight TR-90 frame with adjustable wire temples that prioritize a custom, ultra stable fit.

At 27.7 grams, KOVO is SPEK's ultra-light, cycling-focused frame. It uses thin, rigid TR-90 temples to emphasize weight-cutting.

STRYVE II or KOVO: Which Cycling Frame Should You Choose?

Choose STRYVE II if you want a versatile sport frame with adjustable arms that works for cycling, running, training, and everyday performance use.

Choose KOVO if you want a lighter, more cycling-focused shield frame with maximum coverage, fixed temples, and a bold 90s-inspired profile. It is built for riders who want less weight, more field of view, and a frame that feels locked in during long efforts.

Both frames are compatible with SPEK interchangeable lens tech, including EVO+™ photochromic and SPEKTRA+™ high-contrast lenses.

From long road rides to race weekends, morning dawn starts to full sun, STRYVE II and KOVO are made to keep your vision clear when every kilometre, gram and bead of sweat counts.
