Sunglasses
This guide comes with your SPEK sunglasses. Fit, care, lens swaps. Everything you need to get the most out of them on the road or trail. The same principles apply to all our models.
Fit
Your SPEK sunglasses adjust at three points: the nose bridge and both temples. The goal is simple: a stable fit during effort, with no pressure on the temples and no slipping on the nose.

Rotating nose piece
The nose bridge pivots freely on its axis. It positions at any angle and locks at each position via the click system.
No tools required. No excessive force needed.
The method
- Hold the frame with one hand.
- Grip the nose bridge between thumb and index finger.
- Rotate to the desired angle. You will feel a click at each position.
- Test the fit. Readjust if needed.

Adjustable temples
The temples bend by hand to follow the shape of your head. Bend gradually, test the fit, adjust in small increments. The material holds the shape.

EVO+™ LENS
The EVO+™ photochromic lens adjusts its tint based on light intensity. The stronger the light, the darker the lens. When light drops, it clears. One lens covers most conditions you will encounter mid-ride or mid-run.

Progressive adaptation
The transition is not instant. The lens takes between 10 and 30 seconds to adapt to a new light level.
The first changes are visible within 10 to 15 seconds. The tint continues to shift until it stabilizes. This delay is normal. It ensures a smooth transition when moving from a shaded area into a brightly lit environment.
Don't test photochromics behind a window
The photochromic reaction is triggered by UV rays, not visible light. Window glass blocks most UV.
Testing your lenses indoors, in front of a window, will not trigger the tint change. Step outside for a few seconds to see the lens adapt.
Daily care
SPEK lenses are treated against scratches, glare, and fog. Commercial cleaning products degrade these coatings. No cleaning product is needed.
To use
- The microfibre pouch included with your sunglasses.
- Clean water at room temperature.
To avoid
- Soaps, alcohol, ammonia-based solutions.
- Screen wipes or commercial wet wipes.
- Rough fabrics: shirt cotton, paper, tissues.

The method
- Lightly dampen the microfibre pouch.
- Wipe the lens in circular motions without pressing.
- Allow to air dry.

Demanding conditions
Salt water, sand, dust. These particles are abrasive. Rinse the lens with clean water before wiping. Dry-wiping a lens covered in sand guarantees permanent scratches.
Case and storage

The hard case is not an accessory. It protects lenses against impact, compression, and scratches in transit.
Storage rules
- Store your sunglasses in their case when not wearing them.
- Avoid bags where they share space with keys, tools, or any metal objects.
- Don't leave them in a vehicle in direct sun. Prolonged heat affects lens coatings and frame flexibility.
Lens swap
Our frames are built for quick swaps. One lens for bright sun, one for diffuse light, one for late in the day. You match the optics to the condition.

The procedure
- Hold the frame firmly with both hands.
- Remove the lens by applying outward pressure from the corners.
- Align the new lens at the centre of the frame.
- Press the sides until you hear the locking click.
STRYVE II and STRYVE II LT compatibility
STRYVE II and STRYVE II LT lenses share the same geometry. A lens purchased for one model installs on the other without modification.

Lens categories and VLT
VLT (visible light transmission) indicates the percentage of visible light that passes through the lens. The lower the VLT, the more light the lens filters. Each SPEK lens is calibrated for specific conditions.
Categories
| Category | VLT | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 43–80 % | Low light, end of day, diffuse conditions |
| 2 | 18–43 % | Moderate brightness, variable sky |
| 3 | 8–18 % | Full sun, standard summer conditions |
| 4 | 3–8 % | Intense light, snow, high altitude |
Replacement lenses and accessories
All our lenses are available individually. The nose bridge is also sold separately, in several colours matched to the frames.
