Photochromic lenses are made up of photochromic molecules that adapt to UV rays emitted by the sun. They darken in bright, full sun, and lighten under coverage and overcast, ensuring that you have clear, perfectly tinted vision at all times.
Have you ever been out on a ride or run and wished your lenses were just a little darker? Or a little lighter? With photochromic lenses, that thought effectively disappears. As the light changes around you, the tint changes with it.

Whether your bike or run is sunny, cloudy, or under tree, your vision stays consistent and comfortable: the lens keeps adapting so you can stay focused on the effort. And with UV400 protection across every SPEK lens, your eyes are protected from 100% of UVA and UVB rays, whether the lens is clear, lightly tinted, or fully darkened.
In full sun, our BRUME EVO+™ lenses darken all the way down to a CAT S3 tint, with a 15% Visible Light Transmission.
As clouds form and cover the sun, or your course goes underneath a canopy, BRUME EVO+™ reacts and lightens all the way to a CAT S0, and an 89% visible light transmission, effectively giving you a clear, transparent lens.
In simple terms: clear when you need visibility, dark when you need protection.

But photochromic lenses do more than just change tint. Recent advancements allow the lens colour itself to shift with changing light, creating a more expressive response to the outdoors.
We decided to have fun with it.
Inspired by nature, movement, and the conditions athletes put themselves through, some of our EVO+™ lenses change not only in darkness, but in colour expression.

AURORE mimics the transition of the rising sun, shifting as the light intensifies.

FORÊT moves from a light green tint to a deeper green-blue, echoing the changing tones of the forest.
We partner with the absolute best manufacturers in the industry. Photochromic lenses used to take several minutes to adjust to light, but with recent advancements, we've lowered the reaction time down to seconds.
Performance eyewear should protect your vision. But it should also make the effort feel sharper, clearer, and more alive.
That's the idea behind EVO+™.
Adaptive tint. Changing colour. One lens built for changing conditions.
Please note that photochromic lenses are not suited for indoor activities and driving, as windows filter UV light. For driving and indoor use, we recommend using our modular high-contrast SPEKTRA+™ lenses.
